Sissy's Yoga Styles
Yin Yoga is a quieting practice mainly done all on the floor, that targets the deep connective tissue of the body, our "inner scaffolding" that holds us together. The emphasis is on using ones own body weight in the poses, and giving yourself the gift of TIME (3-5min) in the poses to let the muscles completely relax and create specific areas of compression, targeting the various meridians of the body, which once released allows for a free flow of energy to those areas, nourishing and hydrating the tendons, ligaments and joints. Experience how Yin Yoga can compliment your regular yoga or exercise routine and give you an opportunity to deeply stretch tight, overworked muscles while opening the connective tissue making it more pliable, increasing mobility and releasing blockages enabling optimum range of motion in your body.
